Finally, Snow!

Finally, they are calling for measurable snow! Maybe we might actually get some this time. Trin has been complaining all winter that there hasn't been any snow to go sledding in. Don't get me wrong, winter is not my favorite season but I know we have to go through the cold to get the warm back. But if we have to have cold, I would prefer to have some snow to go with it. I guess we will see in the forcasters are correct this time.

This morning we headed to Bloomington to take Trin to the dentist. She just needed a cleaning but they found a cavity also so we will have that filled in a month. I take her to a wonderful pediatric dentist and they are wonderful with her. She thinks it is wonderful and has been asking since her previous visit when she gets to go back to the dentist. When we got home I had to start on my house cleaning because Mondays are my days when I deep clean. I got a late start but I have everything finished but laundry. But does anyone ever really get laundry finished?

Anyway, my husband John will be leaving for Iowa again Wednesday. They are starting a 7 day rotation, seven in Iowa, seven home, etc. This is not a very good time of year to be traveling northwest but the highways should stay pretty clear.

By the way, sorry to hear about Barr-Reeve's luck Sat. night! Better luck next year! Trinity wanted to go to the Buggy Bowl so bad. This has been a pretty hot topic at school so she thought she just HAD to go. We were on our way there and she asked if they were really going to bowl?! When she found out that it was just a regular basketball game, that was way too noisy, she was not near as excited. She ended up keeping TP in her ears and playing her V-smile pocket through both games. Oh, and we made at least 10 trips up and down the stairs for snacks and restroom breaks!

New Puppy

Friday after new years, we went to the pet store in Washington only to buy a new hampster cage. We seen the cutest long hair chihauhau puppies in there and Trinity just had to hold one. No big deal, right. Wrong!! She immediately started crying to take one home. We already have a dog and a cat so this was NOT in our plans. We left the pet store and made it down the road a little ways and John and I talked ourselves into going back to get the puppy. OK, whatever. So we gave in! Who can't resist a really cute puppy that at 12 weeks old can still fit in the palm of your hand!! Anyway, tonight we got home from Wal-Mart and I went to feed the hampster and can you believe the thing DIED! One week. That's it. We bought a new hampster cage and a puppy for the hampster to only live ONE WEEK. That's how my luck goes. Anyway, we had to give the dog a fairytale name so his name is Prince Charming, AKA Prince. On the second day of having the puppy the he was biting Trin like all puppies do and she said "If I knew this is what having a puppy was like, I wouldn't have wanted one"! She has since found out that having a puppy is not all fun and games.

Anyway on a completely different note. Tomorrow is my brother Jon's 26th b-day. Happy birthday! He is still in NC but got promoted to corporal on Monday. I talked to him this morning and he was still pretty excited about his promotion.
