First Tooth!!

We had another first last night. Trinity finally lost her first tooth. Her bottom two teeth have been loose for a while but last night she bit down wrong and it really got loose. As she was looking in the mirror wiggling her tooth, it popped out and she almost swallowed it. She was fine until it started bleeding! Here is a picture that she wanted to take.

She was so excited that she could take her tooth in for show and tell today but then she woke up again this morning with the flu! She was better yesterday but got it back again during the night. So we are home again today getting better. I told her that she could take her tooth tomorrow.

Flu Again!!

Yes, we are home with the flu again!! Trinity starting puking around 10pm last night and I had to call and cancel school again. It seems like the flu bug just won't leave the school. The other morning four kids got sick either on the bus or in the foyer at school before the bell even rang! Having never sent Trinity to daycare, we are not used to being this sick this often.

I worked all of last week and then my husband John came home on Wednesday. Saturday we headed up to the semi-state with everyone. And yes, we got beat. It was a good game the first half with us leading and then the second half was a different story. Anyway, it wasn't a blow out just 4-6 points. It was exciting for us anyways. Saturday night Annie and Jordan came over and we grilled out and watched a movie. And that's about as exciting as it gets around here.

Trinity & Braylei

We have been outside playing alot these last couple of days and cleaning up the yard. I am sure everyone else has been too. Today is suppose to be the last nice day for awhile, so we took advantage of it. LeighAnn, Rachel and Nicole brought Braylei in so we could all go for a walk. Trin decided that it would be best to put her and Braylei in the wagon and we could just pull them. :) I just think she didn't want to walk. It was a good thing that we had lots of people to take turns pulling the wagon, we probably had a combined weight of around 70lbs. Talk about a workout! Here are some pictures of our day and alot of Braylei's "firsts".

I misspelled Makayla's name in the slide but I didn't want to go back to fix it, oh well. We had a scare last night as our other dog Layla starting having seizures. The vet is hoping it is a vitamin deficiency (sp?) so we are going to try dog vitamins. He said seizures are common in Chihauhau's but not until they are much older. Hopefully the vitamins will work. Anyway, that's all for now. I probably won't update for a few days, but hopefully I can update with a Cougar win on Saturday!!

By The Way

In regards to my previous post, I do feel for BR though. As far as the bad call on Friday night, the same thing happened to ND in the final game of football sectional and against Loogootee in season play. We know how bad it feels to lose from a bad call. But, it was not North Daviess's fault, we didn't make the call. Some of the BR fans out there need to remember that.

We Won!

Saturday, John's aunt and uncle from North Dakota stopped in for a nice visit. They were heading down to Florida and decided to stop by to visit for a little while. They hadn't seen Trinity since she was a baby. We went out to eat at the Essen Haus with them and some of Anita's family from here. We had a nice time. Luckily, they left Sat. night and didn't stick around for the nasty weather on Sunday. Saturday was dads birthday so I was planning a dinner at my house on Sunday for everyone. Unfortunately, dad, LeighAnn and Rachel all had the stomach flu so it was just us and Jordan and Annie. We had a good day and played some cards until the weather hit. Our weather radio went off warning us of the impending weather and John and I were debating about whether we were going to go to a friends house to take cover, when our tornado sirens went off in town. We decided that we should probably leave. We were very fortunate again as the tornado hit about 2 miles south of town. The National Weather Service is saying that it was just straight line winds, but we have talked to several people that watched it move across the fields. Regardless, the damage is still the same. We did not regain power until around 3:30 am Monday and school was delayed 2 hours. Last night dad, LeighAnn and I all went to the final game of sectional. Yeah, we won!! Sorry Barr-Reeve fans! I was glad to see that some Barr-Reeve fans showed up to watch the game and they even sat on Rivet's side wearing Mardi-Gras beads in Rivet's colors. At least they got a good look at ALL the ND fans when we won. There were even some BR fans sitting on our side cheering for the other side. Needless to say, it didn't take the officials long to remove them. I know that not all BR fans have poor sportsmanship. Anyway, hopefully we will do well on Saturday.

Blah, Blah, Blah!

Once again I noticed that it has been awhile since I posted last. When nothing too exciting happens I don't even think about posting. Anyway, school is finally back on schedule after all of our snow. I was afraid I was going to go stir crazy if they cancelled one more time. Since John left for Iowa on the Wednesday of the big snow, it was just me and Trin 24/7. I was definately ready to go back to school. Since I substitute teach, I missed out on several days that I had scheduled. So when I had this whole week booked between the two schools, I was glad. But as I have heard before, "If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans"! Tuesday morning about 3:30 I was woke up to the "wonderful" sound that will bring any mother straight up out of bed, vomit! Yes, Trin woke me up as she got sick all over her bed. That is how the night and the whole next day turned out, then I got it too. So we were both home yesterday and today but are feeling well and hopefully will both return to school tomorrow. I feel horrible being a sub. and calling in sick, they have to get a sub. for the sub.!
Anyway, John left again today for Iowa. He will be gone a week again. While he was home this week we were working on refinishing hardwood flooring in a bedroom and hallway. When we constructed our addition to the house a couple of years ago, we found that we have real oak hardwood throughout the house. So one room at a time we are pulling carpet and refinishing the floor. It is really dusty work but the end result is nice. We now have half of the "old" house done.
